In Defence was a series of photographic triptychs exploring the British nuclear deterrent in the late 80s and early 90s. The portraits included representatives of all sides of the debate - from a US cruise missile base commander and the peace campaigners living at his perimeter fence to scientists actively opposed to nuclear weapons research and those engaged in major defence programmes. The work was exhibited in Farnham, London and Newcastle upon Tyne.
