Severn Light Views of the Severn Estuary

Severn Light is an occasional, ongoing series of images documenting the ever changing face of the Severn Estuary from dawn to dusk throughout the year.

Over the years I have tried to capture the constantly shifting colours and light in an extraordinary landscape where river meets sea, where once icthyosaurs swam, Romans and Vikings sailed, plague ships were quarantined, our Victorian forebears invented the seaside and, today, vast container ships share the waters with yachts and waterskis.

If you would like copies of any of the images please email David at dvs@xox.org.uk
